By using this site and by placing an order here at padyaks.com, you agree to our Terms and Conditions. Padyaks reserves the right to cancel orders or change our balikbayan box pickup schedule at any time without notice or reason. Balikbayan cargo customers may directly skip down to our terms regarding Balikbayan Boxes.

Purchases

Currently, we are accepting orders for products in our shop only from the United States and are shipping only to addresses within the U.S.

Also, at this time, we are only accepting orders placed online, through padyaks.com. We may expand our order and shipping options in the future. If those options become available, we will announce them on this website.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.  We do not handle or store any credit card information on our servers. We rely on PayPal to handle that for us (see our Privacy Policy).

Illinois residents, please note that we are required to add 8% sales tax to your order.

Shipping

Orders for products in our shop are usually processed within 1 to 3 business days from when we receive them.

For most items, we will ship via USPS First Class Mail Parcel or Parcel Post – with delivery confirmation, to ensure your purchase arrives at your door. Once we send it, your shipment will generally arrive in 2 to 9 days.

In the future, we may offer additional shipping options. We reserve the right to adjust our shipping rates as we adopt these new options. We will never change rates on any order you may have pending.

Return Policy

At Padyaks, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you should find that the product you ordered is not what you were looking for, you may return it for a full refund of your product purchase price.

Product(s) must be received by us in original condition and within 30 days of our shipping date, or it cannot be accepted for return.

You must obtain from us a Return Authorization (RA) Number before attempting to return any merchandise to Padyaks. To obtain an RA number, send an email with details of your order to customerservice@padyaks.com. We will issue you an RA number, which will be valid for 15 days from the date it is issued. This number must be clearly marked on the outside of your return package. Non-marked returns will be returned to you, in which case no refund will be issued.

Please note that refunds to credit cards can take up to 30 days to appear on your statement. You, the buyer, are responsible for all shipping costs for returning any and all items. Also, shipping and handling costs for your original purchase will not be refunded.

Damaged Items

On rare occasions it happens. Damage of a product we shipped to you must be reported to us within 10 days of receipt of your shipment. Contact us at customerservice@padyaks.com. For larger orders, we may instruct you to contact the shipper, where we will help you through the claims process.

At our discretion, we may require photos that show both the damaged item(s) and the shipping container as a means of validating and expediting a damage claim.

Typographical Errors

In the event that a product is mistakenly listed on our website at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order placed for the product listed at the incorrect price. Padyaks reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such order whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Padyaks shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

Balikbayan Boxes

A balikbayan box is generally a “care package” shipped by an individual to someone in the Philippines. We make available, at cost, empty boxes from LIPS for this purpose. Empty boxes obtained elsewhere must meet certain size and construction criteria to (1) be accepted by us and/or LIPS for shipment to the Philippines and (2) qualify for our listed shipping rates. As an agent for LIPS, we must abide by certain rules placed on us by LIPS regarding package dimensions. We gladly accept most boxes from balikbayan shipping competitors, as their boxes are usually similar in dimensions to the standard LIPS box. Once we have communicated with you to arrange a date and approximate time to pick up your balikbayan box, we will do our best to meet our scheduling commitments. However, because of the distances we travel per trip (sometimes over 1,000 miles), there can be circumstances where we will run behind schedule. Weather, traffic, road construction and providing extra assistance to another customer have been known to unexpectedly add to our travel times. For this reason, it is imperative we have a phone number through which we can communicate with you, either by voice or text messages, in order to keep you informed of our estimated time of arrival.

Once we accept a parcel from you, we will make every effort to deliver it within 5 days to the LIPS warehouse and shipping dock in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. There, LIPS ships containers to the Philippines every week or every other week, depending upon seasonal shipping demands. While most boxes shipped recently are arriving in the Philippines within 12 to 14 weeks from the date the container has departed from the Elk Grove facility, there can be no guarantees of delivery times. Each box shipped is insured through LIPS at an industry-standard value of $200. This amount would be paid, per box, to the sender in the rare event that box cannot be delivered, because it has been lost or stolen. By placing bar codes on each parcel and by using a sophisticated tracking system, LIPS makes every effort possible to deliver your “care package” securely and in a reasonable amount of time.
